Alberta Secures Fourth Place in National Happiness Rankings




Alberta ranks fourth among Canada's happiest provinces, according to a new study by Lucky Days, which assessed eight key quality-of-life metrics. Despite challenges related to air quality and mental health, Albertans' overall happiness score reached 4.73 out of 10, trailing behind Quebec's leading score of 8.63. The study, sourcing data from Statistics Canada and other national databases, highlighted Alberta's strong median annual family income, which scored a perfect 10. However, concerns over mental well-being and the increasing cost of living remain prevalent. The report also notes significant environmental concerns, with Alberta scoring zero in air quality amid warnings of potential droughts and water restrictions.
