Anna Sorokin Dances on “Dancing With the Stars” While Sporting a Sparkly Ankle Monitor




Anna Sorokin, the convicted con artist known as the "fake heiress," made her debut on "Dancing With the Stars" sporting a sparkly ankle monitor. Convicted in 2019 for defrauding banks and hotels, Sorokin performed with pro dancer Ezra Sosa to Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso." 


Despite her legal troubles, Sorokin expressed hope for forgiveness from viewers, stating, “I served my time and I repaid my restitution.” While the dance was met with mixed reviews on social media, Sosa noted that the monitor was “light” and not a significant hindrance. Sorokin, released from prison in 2021, is currently fighting deportation.
