Céline Dion Reflects on Ignoring Early Symptoms of Stiff Person Syndrome

Céline Dion has revealed that she ignored early symptoms of Stiff Person Syndrome due to family obligations.

Diagnosed in 2022, the 56-year-old singer admitted to NBC's Hoda Kotb that she did not take the necessary time to understand her condition, being preoccupied with her late husband René Angélil's battle with throat cancer and caring for their children.

Dion described how the disease feels like being strangled and leaves her body stiff and immovable. She shared that the severity of the symptoms has even caused her to break ribs. The full interview will air on the Today show on Tuesday.
