The Calgary Folk Festival raised over $75,000, quadrupling their usual raffle income, by offering a Taylor Swift concert package in London, England. Executive Director Sara Leishman noted the unconventional choice drew significant interest, even from those not typically Swift fans. 


Winner Karen Phillipps, who secured the package for her daughter, found it a rewarding investment. The $16,000 prize included concert tickets, travel, and accommodation. This successful fundraising method, facilitated by Tap 50:50, demonstrates the powerful draw of Swift's popularity and suggests a viable template for future charitable fundraising efforts.
