Canadian Women’s Eight Rowing Team Wins Silver at Paris 2024 Olympics






The Canadian Women’s Eight Rowing Team clinched a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, finishing with a time of 5:58.84, just ahead of Great Britain. Romania took gold with a time of 5:54.39. This achievement marks Canada's 12th medal at the Paris Games, adding to their three gold, three silver, and six bronze medals so far. 


The team featured four members from the Tokyo gold-medal squad and showcased the country's strong rowing tradition, continuing Canada's streak of winning at least one rowing medal in ten consecutive Olympics. The team earned their place in the finals by finishing second in the repechage.
