Canned Coffee Recall: FDA Warns of Potential Botulism Risk

The FDA announced a recall of over 250 canned coffee products produced by Snapchill LLC due to potential botulism contamination. Distributed nationwide, these products pose a risk because of improper low-acid manufacturing practices that can foster the growth of the deadly botulinum toxin.

No illnesses have been reported, but symptoms of botulism include weakness, dizziness, double vision, and difficulty breathing. Affected customers should destroy the products or return them for a refund. Identifiable by the label “Produced and distributed by Snapchill LLC,” the cans range from 7 oz to 12 oz in size.
