Disneyland Workers Struggle for Fair Wages Amid High Costs of Living



Cynthia “Cyn” Carranza, a Disneyland custodian, struggles to make ends meet despite working full-time, highlighting the financial hardships faced by many Disneyland employees. Carranza, who once lived in her car, now shares a small apartment with her boyfriend, both employed by Disneyland but barely scraping by. Union workers, protesting low wages and alleged anti-union practices, are set to vote on authorizing a strike. 


With one in ten Disneyland workers experiencing homelessness and many unable to cover basic expenses, the push for livable wages intensifies. Disney faces criticism over pay disparities, as negotiations with union representatives resume amidst growing worker unrest.
