Elon Musk Unveils Tesla's Cybercab and Robovan, Promises Affordable Autonomous Vehicles by 2027

At Tesla's "We, Robot" event, Elon Musk revealed the Cybercab, a self-driving, two-seater robotaxi, and the Robovan, designed for high-density transport. Musk estimated the Cybercab, priced at $30,000, would be available by 2027, aiming to make autonomous transport accessible. Both vehicles will use wireless inductive charging.

Despite the excitement, Tesla shares fell 6% amid concerns over competition and missed deadlines. Musk also introduced the Optimus humanoid robots, advertised as affordable autonomous assistants. While optimistic about the future, Musk’s promises have been met with skepticism, given Tesla’s history of delayed launches and rivals' more robust safety measures.
