Meta Unveils New AI Model "Movie Gen" for Realistic Video and Audio Creation




Meta has introduced Movie Gen, an advanced AI model capable of generating realistic video and audio clips from user prompts, aiming to compete with tools from companies like OpenAI and ElevenLabs. Movie Gen can produce 16-second video clips and 45-second audio, including synced background music and sound effects. 


The AI also allows users to edit existing videos by adding objects or altering scenes. While Meta has no plans to make the tool widely available to developers, it is working with entertainment industry partners and plans to integrate the technology into its own products by 2025.
