Notre-Dame Cathedral Set to Reopen in December 2024 After Five Years of Reconstruction

Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris is set to reopen on December 8, 2024, after five years of reconstruction following a devastating fire in April 2019. The fire had caused the iconic building’s roof to collapse. Visitor numbers are expected to soar to around 15 million annually, up from 11 million before its closure.

To manage the influx, visitors can reserve time slots online, though entry remains free. Olivier Josse, Notre-Dame’s General Secretary, advised patience for all visitors, as the cathedral will see approximately 40,000 visitors daily.
