Safety Breach: Investigation Underway After Rockies Staff Member Found in Cockpi

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a concerning incident involving unauthorized cockpit access during a United Airlines flight chartered by the Colorado Rockies to Toronto. The issue came to light after a video, purportedly showing a Rockies coaching staff member in the pilot’s seat, circulated on social media before being removed. United Airlines described the episode as a "clear violation of safety and operational policies" and has since suspended the involved pilots pending an investigation. The FAA has confirmed the launch of its own inquiry, underscoring stringent federal guidelines on flight deck access. The incident occurred as the Rockies visited Toronto for a series against the Blue Jays. Responses from the Colorado Rockies and Major League Baseball are pending.
