The Rise of "Banana": Steam's Latest Craze Explained

"Banana," an idle clicker game, has surged on Steam, hitting a peak of 660,000 concurrent players, largely driven by bots. Players click a banana to earn in-game skins that can be sold for real cash, creating a lucrative player-led market.

While many skins sell for pennies, some fetch hundreds of dollars, with one selling for over $1,000. This "legal infinite money glitch" has attracted massive attention, but bot exploitation is threatening to overshadow the game's popularity. Developers are collaborating with Steam to address the bot issue and preserve the game's integrity.
