YouTube's New Tactic Against Ad-Blockers: Jump to End

If YouTube videos skip to the end when tapped, it’s likely due to an ad-blocker on your device. This new measure by YouTube aims to deter ad-blockers and encourage users to subscribe to ad-free YouTube Premium.

Previously, YouTube slowed video load times for ad-blocker users. Now, videos jump to the end if an ad-blocker is detected, impacting creators' revenue. Some users report muted videos as well.

YouTube ads generated $8.09 billion in Q1 2024, contributing significantly to Google's revenue. YouTube Premium subscriptions start at $13.99 per month after a free trial, offering an ad-free experience and supporting content creators.
