Historic Bridgetown Baptist Church Devastated by Fire, Community Rallies for Support



A devastating fire has razed Bridgetown Baptist Church in N.S., leading to traffic reroutes along the community's main street. Dating back to the 1890s, the church succumbed to flames that engulfed the historic building, leaving it in ruins. Firefighters battled the blaze from 7 a.m., with crews from Kentville to Digby aiding the effort. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Pastor Steven Hopper expressed disbelief, highlighting the church's resilience in the face of adversity. Plans for rebuilding are underway, buoyed by the support of neighboring churches and the tight-knit community rallying behind the congregation.
