Toronto Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Assault at ProPalestinian Protest




Toronto police are actively seeking a man implicated in the assault of an officer during a pro-Palestinian protest this past weekend. The rally, starting at Yonge and Dundas streets, concluded near Parliament at Front streets late Saturday evening. The incident in question occurred at Gerrard and Parliament streets around 5:20 p.m. Described as 25 to 35 years old and clean-shaven, the suspect wore a distinctive ensemble including a grey t-shirt and white Adidas shoes. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. Additionally, three individuals have been charged following confrontations at the rally, with allegations of aggression towards officers, including throwing horse manure and wielding a flagpole as a weapon. The event has sparked debate over police actions, with calls for an investigation into alleged police brutality.
